rub 'til your fingers burn
- Stewart, mine bled - you're not trying until this phenomonon happens...... I could have just about committed any local crime around here - and not have been caught by fingerprints - I didn't have any.. but my DNA would have been everywhere.....

I'm a bit disappointed in the progress, Stewart - I have to admit...... you have missed an excellent opportunity to learn to spray....... primer - a chance "lost".......

And - when it comes to the sharp end of the "stick"..... when all your paint is applied - only the top layer of the top coat is all we are going to see - but like the rest of the re-build.... you'll "know" what's underneath........ great work - great project - and great "team".... there we go, folk - "team old-timer".......

frats,
Rosco

Greg - neighbours hate you...... how could they - they can't see.... they're all "eskimos"... their belongings are grey/white - the house looks like an igloo..... I can see them all in monochrome clothing - just wait for the "sun" to shine - when the lilac goes on.... they are goingt to "thaw" - or assimilate it...... they'll still look "cool".... a bluish tinge.... but "thawing" just the same......

frats,
Rosco

Thanks Rusty.

Greg - the dust extractor system is actually on loan from my neighbour...  A real Old Timer in his mid '80s who has had every job under the sun including engineering. I've borrowed a stack of tools from him and he has taught me lots. 8)

Rosco - duly noted re the primer. There still more to do is some of the 'unseen' areas so maybe I can wrestle the gun from Dave for those areas.

Stewart - be warned - it becomes "addictive"..... enjoy... and rest up those fingers - if you stuff up a coat - "you" have to rub it back......
I'm of the contrary opinion that a thin chef suggests bad food..... by the above analagy - they cook the best.....
Always look beyond the square - there are circles everywhere.....

frats,
Rosco

Wish I had more than one person to sand down MY car!!! :(
I'll have to talk Dave into staying at his Nan's place when I re-do the Sputzwagon in a few more years..
Not long now and the colour will go on! ...get ready for more rubbing..YAY!...
Rosco: t I thought that bleeding fingers in the paint may help in case the car is ever stolen..they can track it down with the D.N.A

Scotty.

When the car goes into 1 colour, even if it's primer, that's a very cool time. It's like it bcomes a car again, as opposed to a pile of parts.
Nice progress. Looking forward to the next instalment.
Regards
Alex

Stewarts away on holidays. We worked on it till 11pm just before he left. His compressor started playing up so we decided to get stuck into it when he got back.
Even though we have had a few nice days its humid as hell.
We talked about hiring a booth but then we will habe to move all the parts and the body and tgen try and get.it home without scratching anything.
