No pinging at this stage Craig.
Thanks John.
I had considered taking the dissy out and moving it back a tooth. However I hadn't considered moving all the plugs along.
Will check the total advance as well.
Looking much better, Thanks.

Had a look this afternoon and found fuel leaking onto the manifold from under the Carby.
Had noticed a stain there before, but didn't realise it was fuel.
Something obviously not right.
Car still not reving

Finny I take it thats your vacuum line running out of the manifold. Do yourself a favour and buy some decent rubber vacuum hose.

Do you have any plans?
Sounds like a plan Tim
Ill bring the red motor
throw it in the back of the wagon you will need the extra weight to keep it on the ground when the Grey is running sweet

OK I'll be ready for Friday.

Sounds good.
This will be interesting.
If it looks like being too wet I'll get the car into a garage.
Carby ? Fuel Pump ? Valve settings ? air leak somewhere ?
Craig if you've got a Red, I see how it goes

Even paint it Grey.
Yes Tim, manifold has been off twice and yes 3 x metal rings are in place, along with new gasket

Thanks Tim for coming out tonight.
Nice to see you taking the F*** out for a spin.
Apparently the Friday night club run for the boys
Issue was the carby.
Swapped it over for an old clunker carby, spitting out fuel everywhere, but it ran and revs.
Main jet clogged ?
Pulled out the Main Metering Jet and the Main Discharge Jet tonight.
After everyone had left.
No they were all clear.
Will keep looking elsewhere ???? At least I know it's in the carby somewhere.
Tim, thanks again.
PS, I shouldn't have been so eager to give you back the old carby. It still had my new copper adapter and needle in it

Issue is resolved.
After seeing what an old carby could do, I decided to use one of the other old ones I had.
Had 4 all up,
The one I kitted out, The 2nd one that didn't work and 2 x dirty rubbish ones.
They had been sitting in my Aunts yardout in the weather for last 30 odd years, and I assumed they would have had no chance.
Just needed to put a couple of missing bits together.
However after doing a quick pull apart and check. Cleaned off all the caked on dirt/grease/feathers/etc, and it ran beautifully,
Doesn't even leak.
