Here's what the original ute is like with an FC sedan rear roof and back door sills added. Paul Kelly's idea, and it looks very smooth!

Somethimes Less is More

I like in your face customs but I personally get more out of building a car with major mods that just initially looks that little different.

It makes the people looking at it more confused as they eventually work out most of the changes

Factory customs are good as well

Cars that look as if they were actually produced by the manufacturer

Scotty and I worked on several ideas for this and I like his final version

It is not a hard one to build and someone should be up to it

Scotty like the challenge in concept but I'm still feeling the bruises for buying 3 cars in one hit. Will discuss it more in person in February! :)

The car that Smooth Customs is refering to in an earlier post.

Keep in mind that the FB ute in question is only about 7 years old, probably newer when first completed.
Very impressive.
Wouldn't it be cool to find this in a garage somewhere, long forgotten.

Thanks for that Alex.

There is so much material out there, you just have to remember where it is.

Ratbox, I do this type of work six to seven days a week. And my jobs get finished.

You have seen some and owned one of the cars I have designed and built.
I just dont have the time or the other important thing required to build for myself at the moment

But I enjoy working with Scotty late at night on design ideas that may motivate someone else to build

Thanks for posting the pic Alex - its great to see that something similar has been done (hasn't it all been done?), though I think the FB/EK rear would be more to my liking.

Hopefully my sketch may one day come to life, and like SC has said, provided the motorvation for someone else to build - Otherwise, I am certainly enjoying the discussion this topic has created!

Cheers guys
