Great Pictures Blacky off the normal route taken by most travellers.
I might consider that route later although the Humpy is not ready for such a trip.
Golden Fleece Ute for the win so far.
I have been wondering how the Engine Temp has been going at Speed as you have A temperature gauge fitted.
Are you limiting you speed dependant on the Engine Temp?
Also, is the Ute you fitted the Cooling Shroud to the Radiator you were playing with? and if you tell if there is any improvement since fitting the Shroud?
Does that Engine have the High Duty Head Gasket from Have fitted, the ones Harv had made for members?
Looks like a great trip so far.
Enjoy,
Ed.

Hi Ed, temperature is rock solid at 180 day and night regardless of speed - I did have the shroud on this car but it made no difference to engine temperature so I took it off. I do have one of Harv’s gaskets on this engine
Gave the ute a wash and got most of the grasshoppers off -

Found this little bit of history that I had no idea ever happened -

Amazes me how much you fit in the day mate. Very interesting about the ambush. I wonder who they were. I can’t imagine the “Ghans” (actually from modern day Pakistan) being sympathetic to the Turks.

1200 people all out for a days outing on a picnic train... times have truly changed. My grandmother was old enough to remember the funeral trains that ran from Mortuary Station in Sydney out to Rookwood Cemetery. The station is still a beautiful building.
Cheers,
Harv
