Looking great Stinga,
Some of those things are a real bugger to get hold of these days.
What's the story with the hubbie's? - they seem to be taking forever.

G'day Ray, really looking sweet with all the chrome done, very envious of your overriders. Is your tow bar orig /recon, or new ?.

Hi
it took me bout an hour searching through hundreds of old photos, but it was worth it as I found a photo of our old parts car

it had holes in the floor

and rusty Y frames
picked it up for a "grand" full of fb/ek parts-doors, stainless, bumper bars etc etc, (infact it actually took me 2 trips to get all the parts home)
I drove it around for about 3 months, then pulled all the goodies off

-visor, radio, scratch plates, door pulls, heater
then sold it for $1100

-and focused back on the project

I saw it 2 or so years later in the trading post for $1500

Gday Stinga
The wagons lookin good mate.
Was that an old RAA badge mounted on the visor of the parts car?
And, do you still have it?
I've been looking for one
I'm also looking for original style, bosch semi-sealed headlights.
Cheers

Gday
some more progress over the last 2 weekends
after purchasing some repo ek station wagon rear load floor vinyl from super trim in victoria
it came in a 3 metre length, enough vinyl to redo the back of the rear seat, load floor, spare wheel cover, and tailgate
and while I was at it I rubbed & repainted the metal strip edging on the rear seat and tailgate etc
heres a before shot, still the original vinyl

except for the spare wheel cover

as you can see still sporting the original "valve" radio
heres a comparison of the original vinyl & repo vinyl-not spot on exact copy, and a little bit softer, but hey....im not complaining

after shot of the back of rear seat

- tailgate

as you can see just needs sticking down in some spots, and the edges also need sticking down....not bad for $165 dollars and a little bit of spray paint
simply removed the metal edging from the back of the rear seat/tailgate and removed original vinyl, and used it as a template to cut new vinyl to shape - did it section by section
after painting metal edging, fitted it all back up with the new vinyl......and voula

will finish off tomorrow
cheers stinga
