I tried to be good. I kept reminding myself that I have a shed full of gearboxes in pieces, and a V8 project that needs finishing. But the temptation was too strong... I was weak . Looks like I need to overhaul another two carbs now . They really should start meetings for "Grey Motor Speed Gear-aholics" .

Alloy Cain triple Stromberg manifold, suits BXOV carb throttle bodies. Divorced linkage (or at least whats left of it).

I don't have any fancy manifolds yet but i have two of these Kleinig rocker covers so i guess I'm a collector by default as they just happened to be on both the EK's I have.....although i might end up parting with one once i get closer to the business end of my build.

Finally got around to cleaning one of them up before i put it back on my rig!

I think it's kinda sexy and is better now without all the overspray and crap on it.

I see Kleinig made Inlet manifolds too but did they also make an alloy side cover??

Good score Harv, is there any brand name cast on or stamped on the manifold mate??

I'm still toying with the idea of an SC14 blower on top of a triple stromberg manifold no bonnet clearance issues being under an FJ bonnet

Still going through the SU's I recently scored, I'm going to "have" to buy another car so I can justify redoing yet another engine

Nah, I didn't win the eBay auction.... pockets were too deep and arms too short . That's the only side-draught Weber manifold I've ever seen for a grey.

Plan is to get both the Normans manifolded up in a way that will make them fit into an FB/EK. Done quite a bit of thinking and research so far (both on the original Norman setups and the way some custom setups have been done). It's not going to be easy, but thats part of the fun. Was planning on that Weber manifold then twin pipes back to the Norman plenum (~40mm diameter would have made clearnace issues a little easier). May well have to go for a Strommie triple/twin manifold similar to you now.

The SC14 (87cfm/rev) is a poofteenth bigger than the smaller of my Normans (83cfm/rev), and is in turn a poofteenth small than the Eaton M90 fitted to Commodores (90cfm/rev). Should be good on a grey. I havn't pulled apart the larger Norman yet - will be interesting to see how big it is.

Been awhile so I thought I had better update

The Kleinig stuff is pretty cool given there are the two types of stromberg manifolds shown, plus the exhaust manifold. Kleinig obviously put a lot of thought into his products given the flow properties etc. The SU manifold is something else again - reminds me of Mr Puniverse with the plenum pockets opposite the intake tracts. As you'll notice it could also be configured for 1 3/4 as well given the universal casting. To the best of my (limited) knowledge the SU / side-draught manifold is pretty damn rare, and dare I use the word here could even be a "prototype" !!! On the Strommy set up I like the little linkage brackets. Frank was obviously very proud of his name, and why wouldn't he be !

Anyway, hope you like 'em.
