Re: Sydney Super Swap
Tim, how do you justify paying for a plain ticket on top of your purchases at the swaps?

Maybe getting away from the 4 girls in the house and hanging out with blokes talking cars outweighs any costs involved!!??Trev wrote:Tim, how do you justify paying for a plain ticket on top of your purchases at the swaps?
Re: Sydney Super Swap
Great reasons, I only ask because when at swaps I look for parts at very reasonable prices and sometimes haggle over a few bucks, so when you say you fly to swaps I thought "there goes your bargain" when you add the price of a ticket. This is before you said you use frequent flyer points.SunnyTim wrote:1. It's a weekend away with a few mates so we split the costs between us for cars and accom.Trev wrote:Tim, how do you justify paying for a plain ticket on top of your purchases at the swaps?
2. You get to see a lot of Australia and see some cool cars
3. I fly a lot with work so generally I use frequent flyer points
4. I generally find something to buy that I then onsell to recover most of my costs
5. If you sit at home waiting for the missus to bring breakfast, you don't find the cool stuff that I have
Like when I flew up to se Mez to get tattoo'd although he was looking after me with the cost, the plane ticket made it more expensive. But I did have plenty of beers, free accommodation and a good time while there so it was worth it
