I used otahuhu chromers who did a great job , but i had them stripped and hammered and filed first , it's a very expensive exercise and prices do move around a bit , mine have got a 5 year guarantee which is pretty important.
The car is getting closer to the open road with just a few things to do before we get the certifier back. we need to raise the front 30mm sort out some handbrake issues ,get the wiring completely finished , buy some big dice and some mexican blankets.ImageImageImageImage

Nice job. Looks like the car was in Gisborne when the old Black plates were issued. My old EK wagon was BW8349.(From Gisborne as well)

I used otahuhu chromers who did a great job
I sent out some photos and emails to the chromers yesterday and Otahuhu emailed me straight back which I was impressed about for a Sunday pm! They are going to get back to me with an idea of price tomorrow

A little. First it was C.F Washer and son, Then it became K.E Carter motors, then Westbay. My earliest memories of the dealer (K.E Carter motors) selling HQ one tonners lined up outside ,just cab and chassis's. Also HQ cop cars being serviced up on the hoist.Regards Daz.

thanks Daz ,the kiwi built cars have very little identification , not much on the I.D. plate and no numbers stamped on the gaurd . can you get much info fom land transport with the rego plate?
good luck with the chromers KiwiFB , make sure you are sitting down when you get that email back , there is a couple of other prices you should get . Progressive polishers in New Lyn and there is a guy in Hamilton as well , I dont know if the offer any decent gaurantee though good luck

made another couple of steps forward , tail shaft safety loop, windscreens in , grille in . The sparky has a few more things to do such as wiring in the 4 wire O2 sensors into ECU , and I have to fit in a heater demister, Then we shall call in the certifier and cross our fingers.ImageImageImageImageImage
