Ratbox,
Can you post some pictures of the interior sides of the doors for me? And perhaps some close ups of how you've welded the rear door in both inside and out. I'd appreciate that a lot mate.
Cheers.

haven't done the insides yet but all we'll be doing is cutting down the inner door skin to suit the smaller area

Everyone loves lots of pictures, you know that

yeah we split the door so we have an outer and an inner then cut them down to suit, the inner will lign up with the inside of the dogleg area and centre pillar won't step in like it does with a door on

Oh yeah. I did my fronts a bit different, i got one door and went in 220mm from the doorhandle edge, and then 320mm on another door. Got the 220mm piece and welded it to the door with 320mm cut off. I found they lined up the best in that spot as far as the inner section with all the pressed parts.
I duno if i'd be confident in taking the entire skin off lol. Maybe give that a go with a spare door or something
Edit: Heres two pics to show you what i mean.

my one ? it was the last SS swap this year, i sold it to a mate then started looking around again
and spewing that sh!t boxes in no where near the condition were selling for twice the money and more that i sold this one for luckilly the mate is as hopeless as me when it comes to buying and selling cars and he sold it back to me
prior to that it was on ebay local to me (cowra) and that guy got it from victoria, don't know what was wrong with the guy in vic he painted it (shut door paint job) in that vile dark blue over the original colours white with twilight turquise roof

doesn't everyone ?
you should get the whole car back to that, clear coat it and be done with it
(and people think your lazy if you paint in matt paint, at least you put colour on it, lol) or put a light candy coat over it so you can still see the steel, but with a bit of colour

happy
i was a little iffy about the window sections being the same length thought it may look a bit strange once 1/4 vent windows put in front doors making the front window sections look shorter than the rears
but measured a mates '56 2 door post chev and there rear window length is actually 40 mill longer than the front including the vent window, so with no prior measurements we pretty much nailed what i wanted
