Have to go shopping and get some masking curtain on Monday. It's going to be warm so I'll do some painting.

That way I can let it cure over Christmas.

On with driveline assembly.ImageI bolted up the Xtreme flywheel and clutch, tonner driven plate. Measured the finger to sandwich plate height 78.3mm.ImageFitted all five supplied cone shims behind the slave, to give 81.6mm. Bit tight at 3.3mm but should bed in.

Looking very flash Clay.
By the way the tramp rods showed up mate but I haven’t even had time to unbox them, my spare time has been taken up with cutting rust worm out of the wagon.

Another box tickedImageI only had enough Clinker Grey satin to give it one good coat. At least it should cure quickly.

This thing is ready to go inImageI ended up taking out one shim and achieving just under 5mm clearence to the thrust bearing.

Still need to get under the dash and re-run idiot light sender wire. I will also run a proper earth from the tachometer to cylinder head to see if it eliminates the jerky reading. Once the engine is all set up I can install the new firewall insulation and that's it. Not touching it again. Unless I do cruise control for the long drive west......

start looking for cruise now and good luck finding it, apparently they don't make the kits any more or more so the people that make one of the parts no longer make them, they are working on making their own but it will be about 3 times the cost, the kits have become very hard to get and expensive

Thanks for the heads up, yeah. I started looking a while ago and basically gave up. May have to start combing the wrecking yards.

Thanks scooter. Really I want something that does constant speed. Constant throttle I can do with a length of dowel.
