Went looking for the shitty coilover spanner V6 Conversions sent me that they had cut out of a bit of 3mm plate and can't find it anywhere.
The advise the coilovers are supposed to be 260mm when on the ground I think they are 10-20mm high at the moment, you watch I will by another spanner and mine will show up

Should have two Neil, one to hold, the other to nip up, 10-20 will be close enough until you take it for a shake down run, they'll settle in, you might have found it by then.

Good point Briby I'm probably a year or two from shake down run so should be able to find it by then

What are other Station Wagon builders doing about battery relocation????????????

Harv what type of battery did you use and where is it, same question to you BS there can't be any room in your wagon up front for a battery, I'm thinking relocation to where the spare would have gone but as small a battery as can get that can handle the voltage drop, on or to the side of the tank.

I'm running a 33Ah deep cycle sealed lead/acid battery (DC12-33) in the standard location. It raises eyebrows at the battery shop, but works.

It cranks over a 10.5:1 V8 without a problem. I'm running a high-zap ignition box, twin thermos H4 lights, and the normal lights and radio. It's charged with a 160A alternator. I get about 5 years life out of them.

There was only about two finger widths between the battery and No. 1 header pipe. I made a simple two-sided heat shield out of scrap tin, and stuffed the space between the shield and battery with pink batt offcuts (... which I robbed from the house ceiling ). Works well.

I've got the same battery in the FED... if one craps out, grab the other.

I had a very similar battery in the wifes EK V6 - was actually out of a jet ski. Bloody thing was tiny but did the job

I put the engine and headers in, then stepped back and thought: "Ooops.... standard battery ain't going to fit". Lots of Googling. Sealed batteries were relatively new in cars, and some interesting stuff about hotrodders running batteries not much bigger than a VHS cassette (... back when VHS was a thing). Measured how much room I had, searched the catalogue until I found the biggest one that would fit. It just happened to be deep cycle.

I want to keep the bay as clean as possible, so remote the battery so as has been said I will look for the smallest I can find (when time comes) and go with that.

I am a long way off yet but good to know now in case I have to change tack before any paint or anything goes near the Reverend

I seem to recall someone mounted it under the rear seat ???
