Bugger. I'll have parts, but unlikely to have a full working carb identical to yours.

Yeah thats the issue I'm facing - mine is in good nick but the shaft is very loose so getting good idle near impossible so it keeps stalling out unless set to fast idle which is not great long term.
I can send mine up for re-furb but then I can't drive it and need to drive it to get the tonaeus done etc

Tilt tray $60 short trip here (kesh dollas). Refurbed carb more important than tonneau. One you source is likely to have the same issue.

Working with Adam at Fabre - going to try to do the 2inch refurb and add a choke etc - he’s going to try rush it through

The 2" is a better plan. If Fabre cannot do it, Carb Service Co probably can.

Adam is all over it - said he has parts to correct those issues re the choke etc and can rig up a longer throttle lever at carb so the throttle is a bit more gentle in lower revs.

Time to get those hinges chopped and ready to swap in - think I will just delete the springs and go the old school Nasco Stick option

I need a NASCO stick for Grace's ute... the bonnet has tried to brain me a couple of times

What’s the best heavy duty clutch for the 3 speeds? Getting a lot of slippage so needs a better one

Im not sure about clutches off the shelf. When i ran manuals there was a place i used in Sydney St Marys that would build hi clamping force clutches specific to the needs. Are there any places like that in Vic around where you are ?
I also remember the grey would slip between gear changes because the helper spring on the pedal would take a while to return. If your clutch slips in 3rd gear when you nail it then it is in trouble !!!

It was on an upslope yes Patrick ImageI think the main issue is the carb and linkage - it’s pretty touchy to drive as the revs jump quickly - hoping the longer linkage set up will calm that a touch - like pulling teeth getting anything out of carb guys though -geez !!
