I’m glad I had a chance to come and check out your ute Neil. It’s coming along nicely and you’re doing some great work there. You know it’s all worth it when you fire her up and drive on the road that first time.

Yep,

A bit more stuff last weekend
Fitted the wiper arms and connected to the VP wiper motor thanks to Billy and his questions I think I got it right
Put the gauges in the dash to see how they look and I'm pretty happy with the setup


Finished painting the rear bumper and fitted it as well.


Still waiting for the Body wiring harness from Vintage Wiring.

Didn't get a chance to get anything of any note done this weekend but this is what I was playing with in the company workshop at the end of last week, it is a compressor in the Ammonium Nitrate plant at CSBP over here.

It weighs 620 Kgs and spins at 11500 rpm and worth over a $1M we had to change a labyrinth collar and balance it.

Yes SBC 305 going into a freinds FC and behind it on the engine stand is a HK Monaro 307 (at least that is what the eng number tells me) that I picked up not sure if to rebuild it or just flip it, don't even know if it is any good will have to take the heads of and check it out

Damn I miss foreign orders

If it’s a “numbers” Monaro engine, it will be worth reclaiming, even if you have to sleeve it. At worst, it would make a pretty cool coffee table.

Found out yesterday that my wiring harness is now finished; found out because the money had come out of my account now just waiting for a tracking number or something.
In the mean time I was not happy with my effort on the rear bumper bar so decided that I should stick to what I know and leave the painting and body work to Keith the Guru so I took it to him and he re-did it and it came out perfect


And I've been playing with the tray, I've mad a seperate front section so that I can get to the battery and whatever else I want to put under there without having to take out the whole tray floor, not sure what colour to stain it but am leaning toward a light colour due to the orange body colour I did a test colour of Maple stain and it just didn't look right. Once I have it sorted the stainless strips will go for polishing.



Hopefully on to wiring over xmas and into the new year.
