Thanks for the words of encouragement!!

Made the mount for the PowerGlide. Made 2 mounts that are attached to doublers, the doublers will be fully welded to the original subframe then some additional MIG welds on the subframe to floorpan (just for good measure  ). These pics show the first prefit, doublers are not tacked yet, have to remove all the deadner and then tack them in place, once the motor etc is removed they will be welded on with the car rotated on the rotisserie (bugger welding overhead, getting too old for that  ).

pic below: Mounting brackets that are welded to the doublers on the subframe rails:

   .... you guys are far tooooo kind!! thanks for the posts!!

ekdave1962, close mate, I'm a fitter machinist by trade (a while ago   )

bigalhusband wrote::) The peice that you put above the rear end that has clearance for the diff, the photos dont show the shock mounts only small holes shouldnt there be some strengthening there as there is lots of preasure from the vertical movement from the shocks .My floor tore around the original mounts when I had similar coil over shocks I had to weld 1/8th plate there to stop flexing
Here ya go bigalhusband, coilover shock mounts are made, I have changed them from vertical to angled in at the top .... reason is to allow the two exhaust pipes to exit over the diff and between the wheel and the coilover. Not enough room to run pipes on the inside of the coils and it also causes a problem with the Alloy drop tank  . The drop tank has been notched each corner to allow the exhaust to run through with good clearance, I will post a pic on the next tank prefit  .

Shock top mount, material is 50x50x4mm RHS:

Plated over, mainly to water proof but does also add strength:

Inside view, the "silver section" is the inside face of the 50x50 RHS, the darker (redish/brown) sections are the "plated" areas that were done mainly to seal the boot from the weather:

This pic shows why the cut out was the shape it was, coilover fits in reasonably equal each side, this is hard to tell from the outside (boot).

Final resting place for the shocks, have to do Panard now, was going to use Watts Link but it is too tight .... I think, haven't given up on the Watts completely ..................... yet
