Apparently their stock was incorrect and won't be replenished until February. I was prepared to wait and currently seeking to get the order reinstated.

Yep. I'm trying to sort them out. Give the fuvkers a hard time at least.

Meanwhile, exhaust is now hitting the leaf spring where it crosses on bumps. Also I realised I gave the shop two sets of flanges and didn't get any back. Won't be recommending them to any friends.Image

Frustrating !!!

Back out the side once rego has been passed ???

This is why, I try to do everything myself. It just irks me how many things go wrong when the pro's do it.

Although in saying that the time factor is always the trade off.

Not back out the side Greg. I was a bit sus watching him plumb it over the spring. The new owner in fixing where it was hitting before has reduced clearance to the spring. Not even full bump sand it is hitting. Doesn’t hit when leaning, just over bumps and speed humps.

I had my sons 60 in for a new exhaust and change over turbo - they gave it back after 5 days (quoted 1day) and it boiled on way home as they didnt bleed the coolant system so i fixed that - had to take it back to adjust the boost down as the turbo light coming on too easily then as he was driving down to phillip island for christmas the passenger rear wheel fell off -luckily as he was rounding a roundabout so not going fast - stuffed the rear drum and destroyed the rear quarter panel as it came off - just cant beleive how crap some of the workmanship has become from supposedly experienced workshops ImageImage

That sucks Wal and the trouble is that you don't have any comeback sometimes. "angryy:

Indeed. As Greg says sometimes the only way to be sure something is done properly is to do it yourself.

They are denying removing the wheel but I can’t see how they could not given proximity of exhaust Image

Gearbox is the next thing to address, although I should probably be focussing on the wiring loom that was patched up on the way to Toowoomba.

Hi Clay,

I can send you a jar if you let too much out

Or was it a case of incorrect fuses?

Thanks for the offer Patrick. Parts of the loom are not fused. Particularly the ignition coil feed, as I discovered. My patch up repair performs as good as the vintage wiring one did, so far.

Hey clay,

Get the exhaust out and press it flatter in that area, it wont affect the flow, still has the same internal volume.

I’ll be taking it back to the shop next opportunity Greg. Let them make it right.
