Very Nice work, I'd say you may need to re-use that jig for others going by the quality of workmanship.

Thanks Guys
No time frame Damien.... None of the engineers we have spoken to have mentioned anything about one. Has your engineer still put a limit on your build?

Hey kiid,
Very impressive engineering. Just a question though. What do your engineers think of narrowing the track? My own (limited) knowledge is that car manufacturers like to get the track as wide as possible for stability and handling.

as far as i know, the track width of the original car (not the donor front end/ diff is the measurement that matters. so you should be able to increase or reduce disk to disk distance as much as you want as long as your offset of tyres puts the centres within a certain percentage from original.
cheers, luke.

Cheers Luke. I thought the regs must allow a bit of leeway somewhere. The tyre offset is it.

Its a definite no in NSW , But then .... consult an engineer for the up to date specifics
I tell you what though I wish it was OK over here it sure would save some hassle and $$$

He says so long as the engineering is up to par and every detail of the modification is documented it should not be a problem.. Hopefully it isnt or else a lot of time has been wasted

.... I'm confident tho
Thanks
