Not quite a bolt in job! Gonna need a trans tunnel to suit but worth the effort. Plus if you hunt around you may even find an auto column and the whole swap will look factory.

I did that to mine early on in the build, CRS tunnel, auto column and I’m pretty sure it’s an LC-LJ tail shaft then I modified a manual linkage to make it all work. Sounds easy hey…..

You guys are evil

Besides, this was all meant for the van. Next you'll be having me put the 202 and 390 Holley in there.ImageImageImageImage

Going back a few steps: Just wondering why those teeth broke off? Did one splinter and then force off the others? How does it happen???

Pretty much what i also did , i started with a manual column that i customised and made function with a trimatic and gear lock outs , but no provisions for the wiring to stop starting in gear and then came across a ek auto column much easier including wiring up reverse lights. I had a lj tail shaft and ended up with a hydro tailshalft

Just a tease at this stage. I still need to take if and get inspected. Should have done before the trip but didn't have time.

I had an excuse to take it for a drive today for day 5 covid test. Have to post log book off to get endorsed but will have to wait I suppose.
Anyway it got me enthused about doing some work on it. Big puddle of gear oil on the shed floor.Image

Ok, help please!

Trying to fit brake pedal return spring. I found the remains of original one on the clevis rod pin and replaced with one from a spare pedal box.

Just can't work out where the other end attaches.Image

I'd be interested in that one too. It's somewhere in bottom of dash I think, but mine is not right either currently.

Hi,

Not sure if a manual sedan is the same, but mine attaches to a bolt on the bottom of the dash. I've attached photos.

Looks like the same bolt that secures a cross member.

Cheers,
Iain

Speedo cable was snapped at the firewall.

Got underneath. Fuel pump looks to be the source of engine oil leak. The gearbox is heamoraging from front and rear seals. It is a new seal in the back. Image

That is just what I was looking for, and makes sense. Much appreciated Iain.

Yeah that's where mine is too but I'll have to sort it out a bit more. When I push the pedal, the spring is scraping on the dash. Longer bolt to lift it a bit may be the fix for mine.
