So another trip to Keith the Body guys on Saturday, I'm trying to do small things while it is there, having trouble getting the headers in the right place and doing gearbox support.
Anyway he has spent 85 hours so far on the body and he is pretty methodical, he tells me he likes to start at one end and go to the other instead of jumping around doing bits and pieces here and there.
I dropped the doors off as well as he wants to fit up before putting the guards on.
He has finished the repair to the roof and if you look back at some of the old photos I can't believe how good it has come out.

And with the back end finished and tailgate fitted up I'm really pleased it is starting to all come together.

Hey Guys
Thanks Errol as I said I'm really pleased he doesn't charge stupid rates and I've already paid for what he has done so it doesn't hurt as much at the end, he just finished a HQ ute that he spent 200 hours on and he thinks he will have a little more than that on mine.

Trev, Keith asked how you and your van are doing he said to say hi.

Blacky I didn't think of showing that, Keith actually took the roof strengthener/bow thinghy out of the inside of the roof so he could get to it properly, but I'm going there again Sunday to finish the gearbox support and fit the tailshaft I have just had made at Final Drive, should get it back today or tomorrow.
I'll take a photo and post it up.

Regards

looking sweet - getting a perfectly flat finish is always going to take lots of time as they were pretty wobbly to begin with even without 57 years of wear and tear - dings and dangs - will be an awesome vehicle when finished Neil - you'll forget the $ when your smiling from ear to ear hooning around in it - Thats what I'm hoping anyway :wink34:

Another trip to see Frank at Keith the Body guys.
Drive shaft in and a couple of other things done by me.
Keith was working on the bottom section between the B pillar and wheel arch, section is cut out and he is going to make a piece to go in, he has finished both sides where he had to retension some bits and there were some high and low spots. Doors are on (obviously) and Keith has started doing gaps, guards will go on this week I think so all gaps can be sorted.

Thought I would post a couple of photos of the inside of the roof where the repair was done as can be seen he is pretty old school and knocked it all out as best he could of course it is not perfect bgut I'm happy he went this way istead of cutting it out and replacing even though I have another perfect roof .
