you missed one craig
the love affair for the FX was short lived heapOsh!t to drive and i was quite abruptly reminded why i've allways chucked slow heapOsh!t grey motors away and replaced them with a red motor
and seeing as the restorer in me was raising it's ugly head again i couldn't bring my self to butcher this car by doing the change steering front end and rear end and chucking a red in it so sold it
van shoud keep me happy though 307 chev 5 speed 9"
dunno Dave last rego No i have for it was HR 307 that was 2003

Funniest thing ever.
So we decide to try and fire it up.
Shonk the wiring up.Tip some fuel down the carby. Hit the key.
It fires straight up.
Of course, there are no exhaust manifolds on it, its running straight out of the cylinder heads.
All that fuel that Mick poured down the carby to pool on the back of the exhaust valves ignited and blew out of the head alight all over Mick and the car.
Micks all yelling..."I'm on fire!" ....I'm looking for a camera....
Mick eventually went out so no harm done.
Funniest thing ever....

I once helped the old man fire up a Mini straight out the head... with similar results, except we set the engine bay (and shed) alight.
Number 1 Son tried to convince me to run the Chev on the engine stand the same way... he wonders why I am a bit hesitant.
Cheers,
Harv
