Hi all hope u all had a nice weekend? we had a very productive one.

To answer Vintages question, the ute is pretty good, but there r still plenty of things to do.

Dave has been going for it & has done most of the rust work... only bits left is the 2 guards.

We'll start with the worst of it:

The sub frame repairs:
Its come out really well. Not bad for a Market Gardener????? HA!
Image
Image

Up next is the Sill. & the sub frame bit
There was a previous repair job done to this front sill, it was pretty bad. But all fixed now!

Tail gate was a bit of a surprise. thought it looked pretty good. But the ute has obviously had a few prangs in its life. We uncovered a few of the bodgee repairs. Tail gate had heaps bog so we r going to replace skin. YEs thats smoke marks were we helped the tail gate with the oxy sit nice.
Image

Must of had a nice hit here... Lots of bog in there, But we r fixing that.
Image

Dave Mac! u were asking about the engine bay..???? here u go mate. We r only going to give it a clean & try to keep it original looking as possible.
* Note the inspectors mark on steering box?

Oh yer think the fule pumps gone so we got a red motor pump in there.
Image
Image

The tray is pretty good for a 50yr old commercial?
Image

This is the original drip hose I was talking about. A bit of rust in the base of tray, but not serious issues. Thats my next challenge. Clean all that & treat it too.
Image

again big thanks to Dave!

Ok by for now..enjoy.
