Nice pics.
Musta been hard to seperate top "Kustom" for the event.
What did they do, flip a coin to see which 1 of the 2 won.
Some damn nice rods there though.

Thanks RB and Alex. Seemed to be an increase in Mild Customs more than Full customs this year.

judging by the photos you've shown here (& I've seen many of the other cars in other peoples pics elsewhere) I reckon we have similar taste in coolness.

It has always look like a great event
And i hope to get there one day
But in the last few years the amount of American built LHD imports, fresh off the boat and out of their shipping container turn up and collect the awards is a little disheartening.
And it is not just this show, it is happening in all states.
What message must this be giving to the general public or potential future car owners, you must have an American import to fit in or win an award.
I like American cars, and have owned and built quiet a few over the years. But this is Australia, and we have a great Hot Rod & Custom history. it would be nice to see more Australia based Customs and Rods that reflect our heratage.
If I want to see Yank cars in numbers i would go to All American day.
Am I the only one that see's it this way

me and my mates had the very same disscussion at canberra, some people do alot of work on some and still leave them LHD
and only the people that directly know that guy know this fact everybody else just thinks MEH
he bought it that way, one of my mates has plenty of cash and won't buy a LHD car for that reason

I think I said virtually the same thing to Trev, we were talking about the lack of Aussie cars there and said that we were the minority. I counted 4 FB/EKs that night we were there, opposed to shit loads of 50s Chevs & LHD yank cars. Dont get me wrong, I love all of the cars there, but would have been good to see some more home grown and built machines. When we were leaving San Remo and driving through the crowd, we actually had a guy say,"Holy shit, look, an FB! Cool car dude". Just that one comment made my night, and I think he was suprised to see one there amongst everything else.

Nope, there's quite a few! What gets me more is the attitude they have! Most think they are better than everyone else. And yet they've done nothing more than imported a finished car.... Its becoming one of my pet peve's
