make sure he's done cars before and knows what he's doing it can make a mess of a car if not done propperly

Hey Mark, just make sure they stay away from the middle of the panels or at least control the pressure or stand way back as we have seen many good panels stuffed by sandblasting....... just a thought.

BTW: the cars looking great

I did all the flat panels by pad n grinder, the sand blaster just did the frames and shell, Trev

Hi all
I have just finished stripping the whole car and panels by hand.I used 8 litres of paint stripper and numerous wire wheels to get in the tight spots like around door seals.No panels were warped by heat no huge dollars were spent (around $250.00) and the only other cost was my time.So if you want to save money and have the same job done as a sandblaster try it yourself as i said your time cost nothing and hey whats the rush

.I will post photos of the shell and all the panels as soon as i can.The only thing i have sandblasted (as i do have one) was the diff and before i bought that i have had the whole frontend sandblasted and powder coated and the cost was a fraction of the money i saved doing the shell and panels myself.

good idea Mark. Make sure you get some primer immediately on the shell once its blasted.

Yeah ive already spoke to a panel beater who will pick it up for me and take it and put a coat on it straight away for me.
I think its going to save me a shit load of time doing it this way.

I hope they are car savvy , Not just industrial blasters.

I know a guy who had a 34 chev his dad built at 17
Then he got it when 22 and spent 80 Gs over time on it .
He popped the tyres on the rear and they pulled in the guards and quarters ,so he got it blasted again .
This time the stretched and shotpeened every panel on the body

Carefull is the keyword when blasting and speak up as to your exact demands
