Yes Clay I pulled the diff and springs yesterday and then raised the back up so it is level with the front and it turns quite nicely.
Anybody want a diff and springs I got an email today to say that my rear cradle conversion for independent is ready to go, now I've just got to pay for it

If you dont want it I will stick it back into stock in EKmart , I might get the springs reset and stick them in the ute to soften the arse end

Maybe you can take some other stuff that I have hoarded and donate it to ek mart.

Rear suspension cradle is now on the way, left last Monday, will post some pics when it arrives.

Apparently the pallet is 100Kgs, take away weight of pallet and add the actual independent suspension and it is going to add some weight to the rear end of the wagon.

Diff and springs have both found new homes after Saturdays meeting
If you are going V8 a bit of weight in the back will not be the end of the world, will help with traction and improve the overall weight distribution
Means you can put more horsepower down so it has to be a good thing

Blacky let me know when you can pick up the diff and springs as I'm running out of room in my little shed mate. A carton of Pure Blondes goes a long way.

Just got back from picking up the rear suspension cradle
Coil over shocks, shortened axles, all the nuts and bolts and bushes New sway bar, rear of cradle front of cradle, the piece of plate has to be bent up and I'm assuming goes in above the cradle where the old shock mounts were

Turned the wagon on it's side so I can get a good look underneath and see where to actually take the angle grinder to first
Think I will start on the rear floor pans first as they seem to be the most rotted (you can see in the photo) because the rain was coming through the roof onto them while it sat in the bone yard.
It will help putting strength back into the floors before going elsewhere.

Everybody attacks major body repairs in a different order, Neil. But looking at your body shell, I'm thinking, "Yep, yep, yep, that's about two years of weekends. If you work on the car every weekend." Floors are easy (in comparison with everything else), so I'm thinking start at the front and work your way back. The difficult bits are at the corners.

I've got a pair of Stark inner sill front repair sections (I can see you'll need them), a LH outer sill (ditto), and a front subframe tie member surplus to requirements. Probably a LH front guard lower repair section too.
