Went to Finlay yesterday and picked up parts ute that will go a significant way to sorting out back cabin and tray issues. There must be a trail of rust stretching 450kms over southern NSW, as there is significantly less ute now than there was yesterday! All the important bits still there though

. Picked up a missing aircleaner and back window and fuel and vacuum lines so a happy chappy. Not so happy other half though, with 2 decrepit utes now parked side by side out the back and her beetle now outside while Wilma the sedan gets a bit of work done in the garage....

Oh gee, oh gee, oh boy oh boy, how you going to focus on Wilma now Brett?
There are a few hours of entertainment there mate. Do you think mum realises how preoccupied you’re going to be now? I hope she is tolerant and/or you’ve got enough charm to keep the balance.
Get Wilma on the road so you both can enjoy some early Holden loving while you progress the ute. Then the dak dak maybe....

It's charm mate - I thought that was obvious! No, the new one is going to be cut in front of the b pillar ( is that what it is on utes?) and through the back window, and that rear section put under cover for project 2. A few bits pulled off the remains and the rest to the tip in the next week or so. Wilma is the priority, with my goal still to have her registered on the road by the end of this year. We have decided to keep the ute and flog off the completed sedan when the time comes. Kate thinks the ute is "cute" and is very supportive of my Holden ambitions

No shed expansions - that would just feed the addition. Limited space limits the ambition

Number two must be pretty rough up front then. Unusual that the rear is relatively good but there is always a reason. I have to wonder how things would have been if GM-H had made these things to last better rust wise.
