Haha thanks guys, was in the latest Street Machine Magazine as well in the WA Hot Rod Show article.
Getting a lot of good feedback on it which is inspiring me to fix up the little things with it.

I wish I bought your 2 door Blacky, now I have to chop this one up after the Hot Rod and Chev Pickup are done  Could have just skipped a step!

Hey J, can I have my car back now :D

Mate you have done an awesome job, colour and interior are schmick, not sure about the red motor though  Amazing amount of rust you found it it, I knew it had signs of rust coming back through but as it was all done by the guy previous to me I had no idea how bad it was. Still miss this car and having been our wedding car, pictures offer a constant reminder of it. Let me know if you ever sell it, maybe I will have won lotto or something and be able to buy it back.

Cheers,
Burnsy

Hey Burnsy!

Thanks for the kind words mate, it definitely was a lot of rust... gradually showed more signs of it as the years went on but now that it's all finished I don't regret putting in the work at all. Was a good experience, I learnt a lot and I enjoy driving it all over the place. Don't think I could ever sell it now sorry!

I do sometimes wonder where you ended up picking it up from? I assumed it was the guy who painted it green. Used to have a thumbprint of his on one of the doors (must have tested for wet paint)

Here's a few more pictures now that it's back on the top of projects thread again!
The number-plates have finally changed too! White with black writing suits the car way better than yellow and black.

J, I bought it off a guy down Canningvale way, don't know anything else about him or it's history, guessing by the plates he might have brought it up from down south. You can't go wrong having spent that money mate, if your in mining (I think I read that) just look at it as money that was better spent on some Australian steel than on foreign beer. Still can't believe it is the same car, absolutely magic mate.

Hey Blacky, still around mate and local, I think there is an EK sissor jack in my shed I keep kicking my toe on that I keep thinking I should drop in your letterbox (still in the same place??). No money for Oldens at the moment with young kids but there is plenty of time for that later in life, I still have dreams of a desert trip to drag back some old steel. As for now your more likely to see me running or riding around town as I have got caught up doing triathlons or cruising around in a Landcruiser with camper in tow.

Catch you all, I will try and remember to keep checking in.

Hey J, Looking at it now I think the seatbelts and radio are the only things I did to it that are still there. From memory that radio is actually half a radio, I remember it didn't work and didn't fit (would you believe I got it for a fiver at a cash converters  ) so I cut the back off with a 9 inch as I just wanted to fill the hole and have the classic look.
