thanx for the comments guys :D

im a bit stuck at the moment :? to put the door rubbers on, the doors need to be off, but i wanted to paint the car with the doors on :?
so i supose i have to put them on, paint, take off, fit rubbers, put back on :cry:

maby i should just paint them separate to the car??

lil update,

Welded up the boot badges and boot lock 8) also made release cable mech 8)

And i finished bolting front guards on.
while i was doing the guards i was looking at the outrigger bolt access holes thinking, gotta plug them up :? water goes in rust comes out :cry:

perfect size! there off the front doors on a fb! they are covers for the flash bolt clip :shock:
Ill paint them black.

rubbed around the door tops, and gave a lil colour

rubbed back the drivers side with 800 wet

then masked up and painted the rhs flash.

today :shock: it was about a thousand degrees :lol: i nearly died of heat exhaustion just pulling some front end mountig pads off a front end for a guy doing a torana front conversion

yea RB it was hot but i was wet rubbing most of the day so had my hands in water :?
by the time i painted it had cooled down a little, plus the shed is double insulated :D
And it helps to have a beer fridge in the shed! last summer i was drinking warm vb cans! now i have a fridge 8)

i welded a little nut to the part that releases the lock, and welded a u shaped peice on, to clamp the cable onto, i need to get a cable long enuff to reach the dash, i want to use the choke knob as boot release.

you could do like me get a cable that reaches just ouside the boot floor behind the bumper and fiddle around under the car till you find it and hope there's no spiders :shock: :lol:
