Well guys busy busy busy,

Finally gave the old girl some new skin,

I used 2 pack DP40 then some Gravitex both for sound deadening and because you can paint over it.

I didn't grind any welds on the top cause you can't see it under the carpet, I did grind the underneath for a smooth look.

Easter time soon I will have 6 days to do some more.

Regards Greg

You slacker Greg! :P

Nice idea on the sound deadener. Are you going to put some other sound deadener on top of that like dynamat?

You slacker Greg!
I know Stewart but I figure some dynamat or the like that is stuck down wont let anyone see the weld marks and to be honest I am really happy with my welding at the moment and can't bring myself to grinding the art away

Thanks Dave and Blacky it has been a long time but life just keeps getting in the way !!!!!!!

Regards Greg

Underbody now has some skin, sandblasted and primed with the old DP40.

Some body sealer tomorrow if the weather holds out.

Till next time Greg

Hi Garry,
Yes the chassis will go in soon, I just wanted to get the paint all over and I have been looking at drilling and taping some holes for oil coolers etc, much easier on the drill press.

Sealed some seams today and had to do a 80km round trip for more paint. Spent 2 hours trying to get all the sand out, what a bastard of a job !!

Will update tomorrow, the weather is looking good for some painting.

Regards Greg

Had some time today so I painted the belly.

I did a recoat of the DP40 then sprayed 4 litres of stone guard then did a wet on wet black 2 pack coating.

Im not 100% percent happy but as my wife says what are you talking about ??????

Got a couple of imperfections but there is no point of return now, oh well maybe the pedestrians might notice.

This stuff is all hard work and honestly the price panel shops charge I probably agree !!!!

Not much to look foward to but scraping painting etc
