Nah, that's just a general term used here to describe those particular trims
Why did the skirts come off?

Is a lot easier to strap the car down without them fitted
And when having the wheel alignment done, they need to fit the rear wheel clamps that give a reference to the front wheels and the true front to rear relationship. And the skirts would have to be removed
