Yr EK is looking real nice. Have you thought about some flappers for the wheels at all? Would look real nice, just a thought, you may not like them. Keep up the good work!!
but im waiting for some 14x6 dragways to pop up, then i will polish them and put thin whites on them
nice job J, will be an interesting change for non FB-EK lovers to pick which is what i love to see (and do!)!,

thanks nomad,
plans are with the boot is to just upholster it, I kind of like the box look of it all. I just need to make little pieces to cover that top gap you can kind of see in the pictures.
I just have to tidy it up for the hot rod show in a few weeks, trying to get this grille done!
I took my numberplate bullets and filled in the holes on the bumper, then I ran out of bolts for the rear numberplate so thats in the rear window

If you drill some holes at each corner of the "little square" ie the door, say 12mm, enough to fit a jigsaw blade in, then you can cut out the little square inside the big square.J wrote:I dont know how I am going to make a square inside a square without cutting a line from the big square so I can make a little square... get it?
That's if you really want doors...
Hope this helps
Jon
If you want to save the smaller square to use as a flush fitting door, use a drill bit a little larger than your hacksaw blade. Drill a row of 3 to 4 holes along the cut line, then work the drill carefully to connect the holes, this should make a slot large enough to get jigsaw in.
If you get it right, you can use both pieces of timber, rather than having to cut a separate door.

hahaha cheers Andrew, for some reason I never see when someone posts on my topic(AUST)Mod wrote:Well J, I think you are back to school today. Just wanted to say that you made great holiday progress, and I can't wait to see the boot done. Want to do mine next?
I can help you not make the same mistakes I did haha, and you can use my boot to shape/cut etc.
Anyway I have some other updates, Tool a trip out to Armadale for some small items, was tossing up getting new headlights, dont know why i didnt?
where'd the bullets go?
i think the flat ones are better, makes the change less noticable
nice door lock pins
crooked chrome surround for gauges (crookedness fixed now)

after
Not all turned out this good, so I went ahead and painted them to match the new carpet which is coming soon.
