Have seen a silver EK up here in QLD, didn't do a lot for the car at all.
The Harliquin colour that your talking about Harko, when I was in business was a $1000.00 per litre.
Bit to rich for this little black duck.

i seriously think you should go with the colour you had picked, even if it is red, it's yor car and you have to live with it and if you go with something else you might not end up liking it and be pissed in the end
i know when i painted my chev, blueprint off the falcons was my first choice and after changing my mind 101 times
i did it blue and loved it

Only 1 problem with Harliquin paints is that they never made an invisible pigmant, so that when you sprayed it on, it would make the colour totally dissappear, I can't stand those colour changing paints, and to paint a classic in one of those is a damn shame. Thats my opinion anyway.Harko wrote:graphite looking silvers look trick , and the silver over base white is different .
What about chamelion paints hehe

There's nothing as Sweet as a EK V8
Its my opinion too OLDNEK I was just stiring the pot because I know its the hardest part of a build and those colours suck , but Malcom is thinking of every colour.
Im doing my FC red n white soooooo .
I still reckon black is the best colour ,makes anything look good when done right . especially chevies

Easily distracted angle manipulator extrordinaire.
Guys,
I renovated a house and choosing a colour nearly ended in divorce!
In the end a consultant was engaged and chose colours we didn't even think about
It is the hardest thing to do because the car can be any colour at this stage.
My opinion, and it is just that, straight colours are the go for a car of this age and calibre. Easy on the eye and easy to repair when damaged. Dont forget a new paint job is a magnet for scratches or misshaps
Mal I dont envy you to choose a colour for the creation but photoshop can certainly help.
Ive got a colour combo in mind and Im not going to change my mind
Regards Greg

saw this a couple of years ago on a commodore ute just after one of sydneys big hail storms, and it was a real showwy ute before the hailstorm, i think it looked better after
but they repaired it

After 20000 posts I'd like to win my sanity back after trying to choose a colour.
Just about had enough and going to resort to my original colour choice.
Nothing much else happening with the car at the moment as I have the shits with it and need a break.
