that would work and if using a cap would also give it the zing of some chrome which as mentioned by someone chrome wheels would also look good but i doubt you'de be stretcing to the stupid money they want for chromies these days

powder coaters are doing a "chrome" now ,I saw a bmx frame didn't look bad
almost looked like chrome for a lot less moola. I think they wanted $70 per wheel blasted and painted
still a bit exy

Powder coat chrome isnt UV stable so goes yellow after a while, you can put a clear powder over the top but the its getting a bit thick and could chip.
