I wonder why they used taxi's as wedding cars back then :?

Surely there would've been at least one enterprising chap out there who had come up with the idea of hiring out wedding cars? :mrgreen:

wonder who they are at the wedding, my family are from down around there and my grandfather had taxis in bowral/mittagong, i was 1 week old :ebiggrin: :lol:

Mmmmmmmm, look at those fins! 8)

I think the hiring of the taxi for weddings was quite common in small country towns. My mother-in-laws' brother still lives in Waimati in NZ and is restoring the family Zephyr that was the towns taxi/bridal car for years.

Love the obligatory 'elbows-out-the-window' in the photo of the traffic too.
