Lookng sweet Dave.
This may be a silly question but, can you have your carbs on the manifold and have the blower pushing the air through them instead, this would give you clearance, wouldn't it? Trev 8) .

How would you get the air/fuel to the supercharger then?

think trev's talking a blow through system where the compressed air come from blower and goes through the top of the carbs, don't thing the strommies would be very happy with this setup

Gday Dave
As an alternative, you could always find yourself an old injection hat,
and have it rigged up internaly with modern electronic injection 8)

Talking to Don Mamone about this, he says its easier than you would imagine,
and very tunable to boot.

Just throwing it out there

Thats what I was thinking.
Does the supercharger need air/fuel mix for it to work? I thought it ran off a belt? I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH THESES THINGS can you tell :D .

Found this explanation on the net Trev...

A supercharger is a belt driven device that forces air into an internal combustion engine. It consists of a drive belt, drive, the driven gears inside, and a centrifugal compressor wheel. The belt drives the gear and compressor wheel. The compressor wheel pumps air into the engine. In the picture above, the intake air comes in from the back, and goes out of the bottom, the belt drives the wheel in the front.

Supercharger are installed on top of the intake manifold on V-type engines and on the side of inline engines. Since they’re belt driven, supercharger speed is dependent on engine speed and is most efficient at higher engine speeds.

You can also get superchargers that don't sit in the "V" of the engine. They basically do the same job as a turbocharger, though they work off a drive belt rather than the exhaust.
