Tim that does sound amazing - two tone greys look awesome together and red as a highlight is a fave of mine hence the wheels.

Montana grey has hints of pink/red in it which I never noticed with the orriginal paintwork as it was mostly outside but inside or darker light it comes out - very nice.

According to the boffins that keep the records there are very few of us left so I think it's definitely worth preserving.

Next is finishing off the floors front and rear then get some paint on
Chrome that needs doing is heading off this week as is all the anodise bits to give it that showroom look.
Does anyone know if the dash gauges panels have replacement lenses? or can they just be polished up to be clear again - they aren't bad but pretty scratched up.

Just use fine emery paper for any deep scratches up to 1200. Buffing compound and a rag is all I usually do. You can follow up with Repo polish if it is still available. Any lettering just spray white enamel and wipe off excess, let dry then as above. Easy, comes up a treat.

A little trick I learnt from Matty Martin.

a) When you have the gauge faces out, give them a dose of oven cleaner. It will strip all the old lettering off, without harming the plastic. May have to give it 2 or 3 goes to get it all out.
b) do all your polishing next.
c) as Errol says, use some paint to reapply the lettering. The gauge faces have "grooves" in them for the letters, so paint it easy to apply. Fill the grooves, wipe off excess, quick and gentle polish to remove any paint ghosting.

Caught the guys at Back to life prepping for undercoat - they will undercoat before Easter and let her harden up for a couple weeks before adding some colour - slooooow process.

All the internals in tub sub floor and side wells all sprayed with Raptor body deadener and cab played with some matt and deadener so she's pretty much ready for paint.
