Sub chassis went to the panel and paint guy on the weekend for colour, I have to have Frank a roller to go to panel and paint so easiest way was to get the sub painted then paint guy is going to come and paint my firewall, I can then take the body off the rotis and make it a roller.
Still so much to do

Progress Neil
Seems to me all you have to do is get it painted, fix up the mechanicals, put it back together and away you go. Oversimplified?

Moving along at a nice pace there, Neil.
Have you got the FC radiator sorted yet, or just concentrating on the ute?
Cheers,
John

Hi Clay, mate sounds easy when you say it but still loads to do on the body just trying to keep moving forward.
Hi John, sort of trying to do both mate playing with the FC while trying to do most of the work on the ute. I've got a twin thyrottle body manifold (picture back on the last page I think) and bits and I have a pair of overhauled VR heads that I want to put on the FC, when I start to do that I will get the radiator repaired.
Hows your wagon going mate, once the body goes to panel and paint I should try to get over and have a look.
Regards
Neil

The FC's at a standstill, Neil, but hoping to get back into it soon. But, as I couldn't wait to start driving one of these relics, guess what I've done? Check the new topic I've started

And, yes, love to have a coldie and talk bs with you.
Cheers,
John

Well some more progress over the long weekend.
Got the seat belt mounts in.
Lower mount for the real
Upper B Pillar mount point
Trial fit of seat belt, the other mount point is just below the real
Now that the repairs have finished on the floors I painted most of the underside of the floor with sound deadener and refitted the 3/4 chassis
Also thought I would fit my sunvisor; I know there has been discussion regarding roof brackets, when I bought this it had written on it that it was from an FB Station Wagon but roof brackets fitted fine; thanks to Mr Black I purchased and used the rubber sealing nutcerts for the roof brackets.
I've also finished welding up the unwanted holes in the firewall so it is ready for paint when it comes of the rotis, now only some other bits and pieces then ready to go as a roller for panel and paint.

Good progress and tidy work mate. Looks like you fit the top mounts without the need to cut access holes in the pillars. Work to do on the roof ps rear? Looked at mine today then took kids to see Star Wars. zzzzzzz....... Some sleep in the bank at least.
