Hey Scotty, yes i was at the nationals this year. No im not removing any badges or stainless moulds, they've been removed for blasting of panels and for new paint.

Cool, I missed three deadlines for mine and managed to make the last one I set. I took some of the fun out of it trying to get it done. Can't wait for the end result, it looked great before you started.

Hey Trev, took the top hinge out yesturday and found the pin was loose and popping out. so i welded the end of it onto the outer frame and it worked a treat, here's a pic:
More progress pix, preparing for removal of motor:
Motor out and lot of mess to clean:
Engine bay completley stripped, plenty of duff, plenty of rock'a'billy.

Hey Scotty, thanx mate. every part that has come off has been documented , photographed , placed in zip lock bags or boxes and labelled. delicate parts have been bubble wrapped and put away in a cupboard awaiting re-conditioning.

More progress pix, on the truck getting transported to the stripper
At the strippers, trailer full of panels and painted parts
Back to bare metal, and minimal rust
Will be removing front subframe when the ek gets delivered to the panel shop
Boot next to mint condition
Granny visor, wiper cowl and front stone tray
Next stop, going to the panel shop tommorow, more pix soon

I guess not, do it right once and you wont have headaches down the track with dodgy repairs.
