Hi its Animal the builder of Chop62 i will just correct a few of your contibuters ( AXE MAN ) DR CHOP (GRANT ECKERT) DID NOT BUILD IT HE'S A MATE AND THE ONLY THING HE HAD TO DO WITH IT WAS TO HELP WELD THE STRIP IN THE MIDDLE OF ROOF , SO GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT .
(SCOTTY) MY CHOPPIN TAPE MEASURE HAS THE FIRST 100MM BLANK AS ITS NOT WORTH PICKING UP THE SAW TO CUT A ROOF OFF FOR ANY THING LESS --- UTE IS CHOPPED 71\8TH INCHES .
(JIMMY) HAD GOOD VISION AS FLOOR AND DASH HAD THE HUMPS FLATTEN OUT .
THERE WAS A FULL FEATURE ON IT IN PERFORMANCE STREET CAR ( OCT-NOV 1989 ) JUST AFTER I FINISHED IT , WHEN IT WAS IN S/M I HAD SOLD IT TO A BLOKE NAMED COLIN FROM RURAL NSW HE STILL OWNS IT.
I ALSO HAD A CHOPPED HD THAT WAS IN S/M IN LATE 83 .
IM NOW INTO HOT RODS STILL WITH RADICAL CHOPS ITS THE ONLY WAY TO GO CHEERS ANIMAL...

Think I met Colin at a petrol station 2 or 3 years back at the Narranderra rodrun (although I'm not good at remembering names), he came up to talk about our FJ and told me he had a chopped EK ute. I remember that he liked my Norm Beechey Speed shop decal on my back window so I sent him one.
