When did Holden stop using it altogether as a finish?

Any old painters out there remember when it went out of production, full stop?

Is the old heater any good?

Hi DM, The change over was June of 1960. Making original factory surviving Nitro paint cars extremely rare!

I haven't started the car, so I am not sure. Once we are finished bringing the original paint back, I will get to the engine etc.

Thanks Dave,

Steve

Tried our best to save the original paint, but rust was coming up through the paint on the boot and roof. Dam car comers in car ports :(

I know you like the factory paint Steve and its a shame you couldn't save it, but looking at the body ready for paint it was a wise choice to respray it. The body looks really good.

Thanks DR, it was a mint car before the last owner got it. Totally rust free except for the paint :(

Red and the front black undercoat going on today!

Hopefully the car will be ready for the Nats :)
