Well things have changed a tad................. so this EK is off the market (at the moment).

This build is going ahead BUT with major changes........gees, ya never know, Sue might like it

Updated specs
138 ci of thumpin' Grey
3 speed crash box
Stock frontend (because it was all rebuilt and is in very good condition).
nice and low (lowered front coils, lowered rear with new diff mounts)
Alloy fuel tank
Original bench seats front and rear.
14"x 6" wide rims on the front, 14"x 8" wide on the back, steelies painted satin black with chrome trims and baby moons or bullet caps
Off White paint.......by me...that will be interesting to say the least!
music maker.......I think they call them ipods
Original "Warmer Ride" heater out of the "Seagull grey" sedan.
Short console ... maybe
oooohhhhh yeah....a new battery 8)

I started the grey tonight!! could beleive it actually fired up after sitting for about 3 years   ......... :D :D :D

Easter weekend plan is to get brakes, clutch, motor running good then start the tidy up work on body work ..............

Gary, it made my day to read that you are going to do up a grey motor EK :D :D :D What are the modifiers going to say about their hero joining the ranks of those despised restorers! :P
Cannot wait for the progress pics.

Now y'er talkin' Gaz..
Ain't nothing wrong with the Grey motor..the BIG plus is they use bugger all in fuel to run & there's something about roaming over this big wide land in a bumpy old Holden at around 100 k.p.h...it sort of slows you down and you start to look out the windows and take in the countryside. Plus you also tend to stop off at a lot more towns just to raid their take-away's, op shops, toy shops & little Museums.

Mind you there 'aint nothing wrong with barreling down the highway in a Big block either   8)

Progress today.....
Brakes and cluch master and slaves stripped, overhauled and/or replaced. Motor...plugs, tune, fuel pump kit....... still ran - but like shit.... removed rocker cover and found No 8 Exhaust valve stuck open   ... fixed it and running sweeeeet (for a 70hp motor). Clutch works, gearbox works, brakes need new hoses because they are so swollen the fluid just can't get to the slave cylinders............

Give the thumpin' 138 a good run, no smoke and sounds good (no rattles or knocks 8) 8) )

Geeeze I haven't seen the guard rubbers for years !!!!! Forgot what they even looked like.

Looks like a nice clean original car. Shouldn't take long as a normal resto, its when you have to fabricate everything that kills the spirit.

Keeep the pictures coming, love this shit.

Not a lot to see, but brakes overhauled/replaced, cluch done, fuel pump overhauled, floor cleaned fixed and painted, motor running sweet (all 70 hp of it  ) the rusty bits cut back and ready for the next stage.......
