Yes ,you have to be very careful giving it a bit of throttle and not letting the clutch out to fast or you end up on your back. Those stools are bloody handy for the shed. Just the right height.

I lot of time has passed since I last posted on this but is nearly ready for the road. About 20 years ago I was given 5 New old stock left front slave cylinders and decided to use one when I put the front end together.System was bled and had been driving around the road now and then. Was happy how the brakes were working.I come out the following weekend and found the master cylinder empty. Looked underneath the front and seen the fluid had exited via the left front slave. When I pulled it down this weekend, I found the cylinder had inch cup rubbers instead of inch &three/ sixteenths . The inch cups had GMH and 740 Part number on the insides. Serves me right for presuming they would be fine and not checking them out first.Regards Daz. PS Have fun at the Nationals. Will be thinking of you all.

Hi Tim, I'm thinking it was Auckland, but cant be sure.We got our black plates in 1963, and different area's got different numbers (ie All A numbered plates went to the south island, CK & CM went to Wellington, BX & BZ went to Hawkes Bay).It was during 1972 that F plates were issued in 1972, G were issued during 1973 & H plates were 1974.Ater that it went awol. Still trying to find out which numbers were issued during which years in relation to the early plates. Regards Daryl.
