Definately go the puller.... I got mine off using a combination of all the above methods, took me over an hour, then i spent a month piecing it back together, was like one of those 3D puzzles

Thanks to Andrew I now have a puller,
how do I repair the wheel? Was thinking that fibreglass resin or something could be used to fill in cracks and holes, then you just sand it down and paint it?

i think just a kneed it type putty works fine, just open the small cracks up a little wider (so you can get some it there) and fill it up... once down sand, prime, coat...
i'm sure someone thats done it will jump in!

Hey J, I havent done it yet but I want to give it a go. Need to replace the small sports job I have with an original one, if I can get my hands on a complete unit. This video is perfect for what you after, a how to using the putty NoMAD suggested. The putty is around $40. Here is the link....

The stuff I used "UNEEDIT" cost about $5 and it dries as hard as ..........(insert a word meaning hard here) and sands down easily to the shape you want, Trev

when u put your knees behind it hit the loosen nut with a hammer works all the time
