If the extra weight of the bonnet bird makes the bonnet drop - use a trampoline spring - fits perfectly inside the original spring.

got the ute going today
bought it not running
plugs ,points, leads ,dizzy etc
dot the fuel pump working..recond the carby.
ran for 10 mins
smoke came from dizzy and car stopped and wont start??????
any ideas???????
coil and points hot to touch

May hav wrong coil

I would try another one and re do points as they are probably burned. And see how you go.
