OK jury is still out on exact dates. I've had some PMs saying it the 14th...

Maybe hold off a for a week before booking accom...I'll do some more double checks...getting the right date would be a good start...

OK. have checked the NSW Dep of Education site that sets the school terms dates. It states that it is the 14th with a note that it is "yet to be proclaimed"

is there an official (in the clubs) timing i know it goes back along time was the official timing the queens birthday or the first weekend

guess maybe queens birthday to correspond with a long weekend

I just Googled, and the Queens Birthday is the 21st April 1926. So how does the June weekend come into it....................
I was probably told in School, but didn't care about it, But now the NATS are on in that weekend it all changes the whole Queen thingy issue....I now love the Queen.

Is the FB/EK Nationals officially the 12th, 13th & 14th of June 2010??

I know there are suggestions that it is but nothing definate from what I can see in this thread.....then again my eye sight is "average" .

Can the NSW club please confirm "Officially" so us long distance FB/EKer's can start booking leave, book accomodation, planning the route .........etc..

The Finke Desert Race is on the same weekend and the following weekend is the V8 Supercars in Darwin, these will have a large impact on how many FB/EK's we can get to travel in convoy from Darwin as a number of them are involved in these events (including myself in the V8's)........ hence the need for confirmation of the 2010 Nationals dates.

Yep we are.. They are really good. I use to stay they when i worked over there 3 days a week.. A bit out of town so you wont get "the locals" wondering up there after they have had a few flaggons.. but its nice there......

i tried booking in there but they had no rooms with ensuites left
