cause they sent me a fan belt that was to small i have put on a smaller pulley on the water pump until the send me a new one, i just sent them a email so hopefully they come through wit the goods

Yeah it's good to hear that you have it all under control mate. But for me just the cheap option is the go

until i start work on school holidays with my dad

. But atleast i can get money to buy go fast bits for the engine and extremly loud parts for the boot.

There's just one set back to the gilmer setup and thats once the pulleys start to wear you will have a bugger of a time keeping belts on and also stopping them being chewed up on the pulleys as they wander back and forth. My mates Escort did that after a couple of years. The belt would rub on the alternator plate behind the pulley till it wore thin and broke. Or they'd slide right of the front!!
But it did sound good for while. The other option is Straight cut timing gears from Die Crest Engineering or the likes. Now thas making some noise

Yeah i don't want my mum to fork out heaps of money. Plus the $22000 i found out i carn't touch till im bloody 21. god damm those stupid rules. So it looks like i have to scab every last bit of money.

But me working for the money to restore the car will make me apreciate even more knowing that my hard work goes into a sweet classic car.

i went to repco and autobarn and they told me they make new water pump pulleys any more for red motors. is this true ?
would a holden dealership be able to get one for me?

Well i got the water pump off the motor and took a picture of it. This is still ok to use ?
