ah if it was an insurance job its mostlikely been declared a un repairable write off .. but then again a new subframe = a different car lol ..

ooh some thinks a pantec backed over it .. i dont think so cos the damage to the steering wheel would indicate it was driven into the back of something ..

Maybe it was driven by a DUI'er into a Truck, cause nobody would be that silly, unless there was a total mechanical failure.
Should ring em up to find out exactly, Then we'll all know for sure.

Finny,
I'm glad to hear your young bloke's OK after seeing those pics, I hope now he gets the message to his other mates and theirs.

I don't how many times, the younger drivers scream up our street, Which by the way is a return style road, and do 70 to 80 k.
It pisses me off no end when especially my kids are playing out the front.
They just do not have any inkling as to what goes on around or near them at the time.
And most times is just to late. :(

oldnek, thanks and I'm pretty sure he has the message and passes it on.

Is was early morning, two lanes, not another car in sight. Came around a corner in the wet, hit a pothole, locked up the brakes and just kept sliding straight into the tree.

I was told by locals that they get an accident every couple of weeks on that corner, but I think he may have given it a little boot, especially as nothing else was around.

He's very keen to do safe driving courses now..............
