Hi Guys, one of our club members, Roger mentioned that he bought an electronic ignition kit from the U.S , there is no need to change the dizzy or the fitment of any electronic modules, all that is required is to fit the parts inside the dizzy in place of the points and connect the red and black wires to the coil, Roger mentioned that the motor kicks over first turn of the key and has made a big difference in his car. I was so impressed i jumped on the website today and purchased one, worked out to be $111 delivered to my house. here is the link.

Sorry Robbo, I missed your post.
No  I still haven't fitted it yet but I know others that have.
Vast improvement is the word Im getting from them.
I have a few little jobs that will need doing on my engine so
I might have to pull it out soon. Not problems, just improvements

Hey bebop,

Like Thommo, I have not fitted it to my engine yet  I bought it for when the engine goes in to get rebuilt. And like Thommo, all I have heard about are the vast improvements when you convert to electronic ignition. Some on this forum have also used the Crane universal kit.

Then there's this guy's blog who owns a grey motor powered Buchanan, and he used the Pertronix kit on it (scroll down to near the bottom) http://www.v8vantage.com/buchananmotorc ... 20Blog.htm

Cheers
