When I saw the username feute I figured it was you Gary, welcome to the forum.
I would prefer we stayed with the FE/FC Club , there has been discussion at a few of the AGM's about changing the name to the FE/EK Club and the members seem O.K. with it but we havent done it because of the paperwork involved with the constitution etc, but it can be done and if there was a sufficient ratio of FE/FC to FB/EK would be done.
The FE/FC Club has a good mix of stock and modified and a good bunch of blokes and blokettes to boot. :D
I think as an amalgamated club we could achieve more - plus I am already a member of 4 clubs , it costs me a fortune in fees already !!!!
There is a meeting of the FE/FC Club tomorrow night at 415 Maddington Rd, Maddington if anyone wants to come along and discuss it. 7 o'clockish kickoff.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I would be happy to join in with the fefc mob as they also share a very similar passion with us fbek fans. As for the meeting tomorrow night, will you be there Blacky? I owe you a carton of your favourite beer. What is your favourite? I think I will swing by with the fb after uni. Hey Nathan, you should come too, its near your place!

Oh s@*t...ive started something that has snowballed and turned into the WA FBEK club...WOW!
Feute...any pointers are very welcome as i'm sure none of us have had an opportunity to start a car club before from scratch.
We need to set a date for meeting No1. anyone care to moninate a date/time/place?
Blacky I agree that we can achieve more as an amalgamated club, but its gotta include us in the name, otherwise we will always feel like second rate members, maybe we could set up a partner club
I'm very excited about this!

it is nice and close, I would go down to the FE FC Meeting again, however work is a killer at the moment i have attend cruises and meeting with these guys before, and they are a good bunch and very welcoming...

I would be happy with the change in club name to FE-EK if that was the preferred method, they also seem to know what there doing already, i planned on joing with them once my car was really ready, as much as there a great resource for knowledge and parts i couldnt justify paying a membership fee, and the likings when i could gain what i say as a lot of the benifets...

but when its down look out!

Cheers

I think it'd be kinda cool to have an un-official club, like no membership fee's or anything but just go cruizin as a mob the whole time 8)

i say meeting #1 could be a cruise to el capitan munchies, those of you who dont have fbek's could tagg along in ur late model stuff or hitch a ride 8)

An unofficial club has advantages, but then it also has no power or recognition or reason to join.

The club i want to join has drives and cruises, bbq meetings and representation at shows and maybe we could even manage ourselves to get insurance premium discount on our cars as club members.

Maybe to start the ball rolling we could just meet at captain munchies for the first meeting, lets do it on Friday Evening or Saturday arvo.

If it's going to be this Saturday, don't forget the Powercruise is on. You may not get full interest
I would rather work on a Morris 1100 than use a computer !!!!!!

Friday nights and Saturdays never suit me as I am heavily involved with my church. If it suits the majority of other members to have meets on these days, then so be it, just make sure there is some Sunday cruising as well.

Saturday is the Biblical day of rest. Call me backwards, but have a google, or even better a read of the Bible, and you will see 8)

We go to church on Saturday because it is the biblical day of worship. God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. God's law, as expressed in the Ten Commandments, requires us to observe the seventh-day Sabbath, or Saturday, as a day of worship, rest and ministry. The Sabbath starts from sunset on Friday and finishes at sunset on Saturday.

PS - I hate cleaning up after other people. I gave up my job at Hoyts cinemas because the cleaning was so crap. Will never again do it in my life. I would rather sell my FB if I needed cash fast than work as a cleaner
