The Chev does sit about an inch higher than the 308, which is good as it gives plenty of steering clearance. Having said that, the 327 has a Victor Jnr and a 2inch phelo spacer, so that jacks the height up a bit. Without those, it sits WELL under the bonnet.ratbox wrote:the chev engines must sit up along way, when we did the ute we sat a tunnel ram on the 308 with a hillborn type scoop and it would have just poked through

some progress being made over here, despite the polar bear weather..
Paint on the interior, wiring mostly finished, all brakes rebuilt plumbed and bled, and fuel tank finally back from the fabricators....
