i think i want to do it with a soldering iron as i dont have a welder. Can you please take some pics smooth customs?

I just used filler on mine, did a good job of it......been filled and never cracked or fallen out in 13 years of rough driving.....

Cheers for that insight, I suppose it is an added bonus that if you ever want to put them back the option is always there. And its not a serious job of drilling holes :|
