They did my whitewalls, 1 tyre turned brown after about a week. To much oil in the tyre. Watch out for gutters as they rub straight off.

Lolly, I'de be careful with the painted on ones. Apparently they grind off some of the sidewall prior to applying the white line. Most insurance companies wil void the insurance because of that. And mate's car's I've seen who have had it done...well, it doesnt look that crash hot.
With a brand new tyre you have to wait at least 500km before doing it

hmmm..... thanks for the advice. I quite liked the look of the narrow whitewalls, but Gran never had them on her EK in the 60's, so I'm quite happy to drive around with the black ones until next time! 
.... then again, maybe I could put the new tyres from the EK onto the Camry and that way I could justify buying the Khumos.......

Not a bad idea 
. It depends if the Camry has 13 inch wheels or not though
From what I remember, getting the stripe put onto existing tyres isn't exactly cheap either.
This bloke out I'm getting mine off can do the 185/70 - 13's (Khumo) for $425 fitted and balanced (or $375 just for tyres). I'm probably going to get the taller 80 series ones, which are 490 big ones (fitted and balanced)

id never ever get painted on whitewalls again
bad experience lead to that decision. and yes they do shave the tyre first! b4 they paint and the paint comes off!

Bob Jane Claremont, I must be getting discounted because I used to work there. I think Antique tyres said $120, and by boss would probably buy them for $90. Well I just got the whitewalls put on...................and the car looks magic
On the way there I was still trying to decide what size to get. Having the engine screaming at 60mph was leaning em towards the 185/80-13's.
When I got there and sat both sizes next to the car, I decides on the 80's. The 70's weren't any taller than the tyres that were on it.
What a difference the taller tyres make!! On the way there I was in the slow lane hiding my head in shame as everything overtook me.
On the way back home I actually overtook a few cars

I had the GPS thingy with me. With the old tyres when the speedo showed 50mph I was actually doing 43mph . With the new tyres at 50mph the GPS was showing 49.
Craig at Fishers is a lovely bloke, and I highly recommend him. I don't know about other brands though. All I could see there in whitewalls were Khumo's.
I'll post some pics once I wash the bastard
